Max Levai’s pet project Marlborough Broome Street is set to open this Sunday and the gallery is inaugurating their new Lower East Side space with a goofy group show and a pizza party. Not only will pizza be served, but it also serves as the source of inspiration for exhibition “PIZZA TIME!,” which features the work of Willem de Kooning, Uri Aran, John Baldessari, Michelle Devereux, Andrew Kuo, Nate Lowman, Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe, Reena Spaulings, and Spencer Sweeney. The only question is: Where is Bruce High Quality Foundation’s epic pizza artwork “Pizzatopia?”
The exhibition will launch the new 331 Broome St. space this Sunday at 6pm. Check out some pizza-themed artworks from the show below.
